Biography

Manuel has been representing people who have been injured or families of loved ones who have been killed on the job or as the result of the negligent actions of individuals, corporations, and others for 20 years. Manuel believes that people deserved tough, fierce representation when dealing with insurance companies.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Manuel enlisted in the United States Army and, after completing training at the United States Army Intelligence School in Fort Devens, Massachusetts, served the majority of his four years in Fulda, Germany. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Manuel went on to graduate from the University of Houston. During his time at UH, Manuel worked a variety of jobs in the hospitality and restaurant industry. After graduation and prior to law school Manuel worked as a construction manager building homes in one of the fastest growing suburbs of Houston, Texas. As a construction manager, he was responsible for all aspects of building a home and dealing with contractors, insurance companies, banks, homebuyers, and others in completing the construction of the houses.

Manuel earned his law degree from the University of Cincinnati School of Law in Cincinnati, Ohio. Manuel worked at GE Aircraft Engines in Ohio and returned to Houston in 2001. Manuel started his own firm in 2005 representing people who have been injured and families of loved ones killed. Manuel's broad background and work experience in a variety of fields allows Manuel to connect with his clients and provides him insight to his clients' experiences.

Manuel is originally from San Antonio, Texas and is married to Maritza Gonzales and together raised 4 children. Maritza and Manuel contribute time or money to a variety of organizations including the University of Houston, Latin Women's Organization, the Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans, American Civil Liberties Union, Legacy Community Health, Houston Rodeo and other organizations.
