Biography

Prior to becoming an attorney, Timothy served in the United States Army, Judge Advocate Generals Corps, where he worked in the Office of Soldiers Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) & Physical Evaluation Board (PEB) Counsel. In that capacity, Timothy represented soldiers who were injured in the line of duty as they were navigating the Military’s version of Workers Compensation. After leaving his final duty station at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York (Go Army!), Timothy returned to school at the University of Texas at Dallas where he earned his “B.S.” in Political Science and Philosophy.

Timothy earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center. While at the law center, Timothy worked as a student attorney in the immigration and consumer legal clinics, and a Senior Articles Editor for the Houston Journal of International Law (HJIL). Upon graduation, Timothy served as a Clinical Supervising Attorney for the University of Houston Law Center Legal Clinics. There his practice focused on residential construction liability, deceptive trade practices, real estate transfers, and a bevy of other legal issues in service of the Greater Houston Community. Born and raised in Texas, Timothy remains committed to serving the wonderful people of the Lonestar state.

Timothy is married to Hannah Melcer-Sullivan and has a son Adam Sullivan (born at Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii). Timothy is an avid football, basketball, baseball, rugby, and futbol fan and hopes to return to live in Hawaii to further cultivate his love for the islands, surfing, and the spirit of Aloha.
